Experiment Two, Week One

WEEK ONE:

 Le Corbusier & Servo Stockholm LAX


Le Corbusier:
- A surface which is divided up according to the directing and generating lines of the mass, gives this mass its individuality.
- Architecture is the masterly, correct and magnificent play of masses brought together in light.
- Balance between geometric forms often create more uniformed aesthetics.
- Large shapes create tension between flowing architecture.
- Lack of open spaces create a private enclosure.

Servo Stockholm LAX:
-Architecture with large openings allow for communication, passage of light and pedestrian flow between interior and exterior.
- Geometric form is dynamic movement.
- Buildings engage to the environment.
- Organic architecture can be portrayed through open and intertwining figures.

Non-symmetrical architecture can contrast from the environment in which it is in.
